SouthPaw Striping is a Utah-owned parking lot striping and pavement marking specialist covering every Salt Lake City neighborhood — from Downtown and Sugar House to the Avenues, Foothill, Rose Park, and Glendale. Restripes, ADA compliance, fire lanes, and new layouts on a schedule that fits your business hours, including overnight for downtown and hospitality properties.
Salt Lake City is a big market with a mix of lot types most striping contractors don't handle equally well. Downtown properties need overnight work to avoid disrupting hotels, restaurants, and office parkers. Sugar House and 9th and 9th are dense with restaurants and small retail on tight schedules. The Avenues and East Bench lots are older and often need full ADA compliance updates. Warehouses and industrial lots on the west side and in the Granary District run big and need production-grade work.
We handle all of it. As a parking lot striper working across the whole Salt Lake Valley, we've built our scheduling around the reality that Salt Lake City properties don't all keep 9-to-5 hours. Most of our downtown and hospitality work runs overnight or during off-peak windows so your lot stays open when your customers show up.
Everything we offer across the Salt Lake Valley is available for SLC properties, with flat, per-line pricing.
For typical Salt Lake City pricing on any of these services, see our Utah parking lot striping cost guide.
We work every SLC neighborhood and commercial corridor:
Common commercial corridors: State Street, Main Street, 400 South, 500 South, 700 East, 900 East, 1300 East, North Temple, Foothill Drive, Redwood Road, and 2100 South through Sugar House. If you're inside city limits, we serve you.
Surface lots and street-level parking connected to downtown office buildings. Overnight scheduling to avoid daytime parker disruption.
Sugar House, 9th and 9th, downtown restaurant rows, and hotel lots. Late-night or pre-open scheduling standard.
Clinics near IHC and University of Utah Health, dental offices in the Avenues, and outpatient facilities citywide.
Neighborhood retail, shopping plazas, and mixed-use developments across State Street, 300 South, and Sugar House.
Granary District, west side industrial, and distribution facilities. Higher-volume line marking with production scheduling.
Central SLC has one of the highest concentrations of multifamily housing in the state. Common-area lots, guest parking, and ADA compliance.
Salt Lake City has additional parking lot standards on top of federal ADA rules. Hard-surfaced commercial lots with 15 or more spaces are required to meet municipal striping standards, which affects stall dimensions, aisle widths, and required accessible parking. Older lots that haven't been restriped since the last code update are frequently out of compliance without their owners realizing it.
Every quote we send for a Salt Lake City property is scoped against current municipal code, not just what's already painted on the ground. If your existing layout doesn't meet code, we'll flag it in the estimate rather than repainting the same violations.
For downtown, Sugar House, hotel, and restaurant lots, we schedule overnight or during off-peak windows so your customers, guests, and daytime parkers never lose access. Book 2–3 weeks ahead for weekend or overnight windows in peak season (April–September) to lock in your preferred date.
Federal ADA standards apply to virtually every SLC commercial property open to the public. Faded blue backgrounds around the wheelchair symbol, undersized access aisles, and out-of-code signage are the three most common issues we see across Salt Lake City lots, particularly on older buildings in the Avenues, along State Street, and in central SLC.
For a full walk-through of what ADA compliance actually requires and the specific violations we see most often in Utah lots, see our Utah ADA parking compliance guide.
The person who walks your lot is the same person who stripes it. Owner-operated, one point of contact, no call centers or subcontractors.
Send us the property address and we'll walk it, scope it against SLC code, and send a written estimate within one business day.
